Blogging gets done when kids go to bed early!!

OK, long title, but the kids are in bed for school tomorrow and I have 2 hours of me time! So time to blog about our August happenings. We had the annual Sill family reunion. It was in Big Cottonwood Canyon at the Spruces campground. It was fun. My dad did a great job planning it. There were fun games for the kids, skits, good food, and a birthday celebration for Grandma. In between the events I was reading Breaking Dawn. I just can't put those books down!

Our tramp finally got put in. Our yard has been an all summer project. I was worried that the kids would not get to use it at all this year. Sydney loves the tramp. She says "Jump Tramp". She loves to have Bryson and Bailey chase her. We also went to the aquarium down in Salt Lake. It was fun. The kids got to touch Sting Ray, Star fish, sea cucumbers and crabs. There was a shark exhibit, octopus, tropical fish, and jelly fish. If you live in Utah, and have not seen it, it is a must. When do you see sharks in Utah?

The kids played in the water while Grandpa was irrigating. I thought these pics were cute.

My sister Amber came into town for a wedding. I love having her stay with us. My family, Amber and Mike, and Mom and Dad went boating to Jordanelle Reservoir, it was choppy, but that did not stop us from having fun. Sydney loved to snuggle with Grandma and Grandpa, watching Uncle Mike and Kurt fall, and eating snacks. We all did the tube, but Kurt, Amber and Mike wakeboarded. And no I am not a wimp, I have had 4 knee surgeries and reserve my knee from being injured only to snow skiing!

Bailey had an olympic show at her gymnastics. She is a great little tumbler and loves the balance beam. She also loves taking lessons with her bff, Ashlee. Kurt and I took her to Red Robin and she got to enjoy some magic tricks by Dad.

Kurt and I love to throw murder mystery dinner parties. We had not done one for almost 2 years because of our move and temporary living. This weekend we had his college friends from the fraternity over for the Napa Valley wine murder. We had fun acting our parts. We even played rock band afterwards. The things you do when your kids are not home. After our friends left, we stayed up till 2 am playing more rock band. LOL

WARNING, Blogging a month at a time is not recommended. Little bits at a time is a lot faster and you can remember more details! :)

Kids say the darnest, cutest things...

Syd and I were driving in the car and she stuck her bare foot in my face and said..."See I am ready for Kindergarten, my foot is big!"

We were at Temple Square, and Sydney was riding on her Dad's shoulders saying to everyone, "Hello, People!"

Sydney came downstairs the other day, all dressed backwards. I said, "Syd, don't grow up...she responded by saying..."I need too."

Bailey has been nervous to jump off the diving board. I told her to pray and Heavenly Father would help calm her. Her prayers have been so special to listen to. She told me that he has been helping her not be scared. She is so sweet.

Bryson was sneaking some cookie dough. I caught him and jokingly said, "Hey get your hands out of there, that is for the man "(meaning Kurt). He said, well I am a man and I am your son. He is clever.

Bailey has been anxiously waiting for the books Pinkalicious, Fancy Nancy, and Purplicious to come via mail. She has been looking at the door step everyday since I ordered them. She's a QT! Sydney has no idea what pinkalicious is. Anytime she finds something pink, she says "I'm Pinkalicious."

Sydney has been Picasso in our house. She loves to draw on my walls. One day she drew on every wall. She started singing Happy Birthday to me. Now how could I get mad at that. She makes me laugh.

The other day I was on the phone and making dinner for a family at the same time (trying to multi task). I noticed Sydney was on the counter, snacking from the cheese. I lightly patted her knee to motion her to get down. She looked at me and said, "Ow, you hurt me. Why would you hurt me? You hurt my knee." I started laughing! Later that night I came home and she had a band aid on her knee. She told her Dad that I hit her. She cracks me up!

Sydney's favorite Knock Knock joke: Knock, Knock, Who's there? Interrupting Cow...Interrupting then she blurts in MOO! Bailey and Bryson's: Knock, Knock, Who's there? Can't, Can't Who? Can't this be the last knock knock joke.

Tonight, I was talking with my sister on the phone, while I was taking the dog outside and walking around. Little did I know, Syd was in tow behind me, with her toy cell phone and mimicking everything I said and did.

Bryson said today, "Um, Mom when am I going to get a haircut? My hair is too long, see my hair moves when I shake my head. "

Sydney fell on the cement yesterday, scraping both knees. She was crying saying she needed a band-aid. So Kurt got one for her and she said that she could do it all by herserlf. She put the band-aid 2" above the sore and smiled and said, "There all better!"

We were giving Bry some feedback, Kurt said, "Bryson, feed back is part of life. I always get it from work, mom etc." Bryson replies, "But I am not use to getting feedback from Mom." Our Bailey, pipes in..."I Am!"

If you ask Syd, "How are you?" she always replies, "Two!"

Kurt is trying to get Syd to look at him for a picture, he says, "Sydney, what is on my nose?" Sydney says, "Uh,....Boogers!"

I was having a YW pres. meeting at my house and Sydney sat next to me in her own chair, with paper and pencil in hand, pretending to take notes. Bryson came walking in from scouts and Syd said, "Hi Bry!" And then she looked at all the ladies and said, "He's my brutter."

Syd came out tonight with something in her hand. I said, "What are you doing?", she said, "I am playing lips." She had my B&BW lip gloss in her hand, she then went and got another one and gave it to me and said, "Here you play lips too, OK?"

Sydney selling me on the idea of sleeping in our bed...Momma, I sleep with you tonight? You can sleep with my blankie and me?!
